Community Guidelines
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Tasteit is a place to share food you love. Keep it friendly, keep it about food, and treat people the way you'd want to be treated at your own table.
Zero tolerance. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behavior. Breaking these rules can lead to content removal, restrictions on messaging, or losing your account.
Share food
- Posts should show food or a drink. Recipes, home cooking, restaurant dishes and food experiments are all welcome.
- Challenge photos must show the dish you cooked for that challenge. You in the photo with your dish is great.
- Only post photos you took yourself or have permission to use. Ask before posting photos of other people.
- Alcoholic drinks as the main subject of a post aren't supported right now. Alcohol as an ingredient in a dish is fine.
Not allowed
- Nudity, sexual content, or food arranged in a sexual way
- Anything that sexualizes, exploits or endangers minors
- Intimate images of anyone shared without their consent
- Violence, threats, gore or graphic injuries
- Hate speech, slurs, harassment, bullying or targeting people for who they are
- Content promoting self-harm, suicide or eating disorders
- Illegal drugs, weapons, or dangerous challenges
- Spam, scams, advertising, fake giveaways or links to unrelated sites
- Impersonating others, fake accounts, or manipulating likes, follows, views or challenge votes
- Content you don't have the rights to
Be kind in comments and messages
- Give honest feedback on food, not on people.
- Respect "no". Don't keep messaging someone who doesn't want to talk to you.
- Don't share other people's private information.
How we enforce these rules
- Automatic checks: posts and challenge photos are checked with AI. Content that likely breaks the rules may be hidden, rejected or removed and reviewed by our team.
- Reports: you can report posts, comments, profiles, conversations and groups in the App. We review reports and act on them, generally within 24 hours.
- Block: you can block anyone. They won't be able to see your content or message you.
- Consequences: we may remove content, clear profile information, restrict messaging (for 2 hours, then 48 hours, then 7 days for repeated violations), or suspend or delete accounts.
- Review: if your post was removed and you think we got it wrong, you can request a review in the App.
Intimate images and urgent safety concerns
If an intimate image of you was shared without your consent, report it in the App with the reason "Nude or intimate image of me". It is hidden immediately and removed within 48 hours. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
